Edward Weniger has been involved in the Midwest technology scene for the past 15 years, as a business owner, technologist, and consultant. He has a breadth of experience extending to all aspects of business process management including strategic vision, team leadership, product development, logistics, and vendor relations. His background in network security and compliance repertoire have been built around Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA/HITECH, maintaining both public and private SaaS platforms and IT infrastructure. He has founded multiple successful companies in fields with high barriers to entry including healthcare and financial services. Edward’s vision is to increase recognition for Omaha/Lincoln as a Fintech hub. His firm, Alpha BTC, installed Nebraska’s first bitcoin ATM at Jones Bros Cupcakes in Aksarben and designed the world’s first bitcoin arcade at AIM Infotec 2016. In addition to Infotec he has also spoken at and/or organized events such as the Nebraska Bankers Conference, Coinfest Midwest, Digital Economy Conference, and the Omaha Bitcoin Meetup. In his free time, Edward enjoys jogging and playing Ultimate Frisbee.
